Other: In June, 1839, with Mrs. Cooke, he took charge of the boarding school for young chiefs. In 1849 he became Asst. Superintendent of Secular Affairs. He was released in 1851, and entered the mercantile business with S. N. Castle. He was also deacon of 2nd Foreign Church for 15 years.
